The willingness to deceive a person.
The display of weak will power that can’t resist an urge to lie.
The urge to lie, which is perceived as not loving themselves for who they are.
Either that, or not having faith that people will accept and love them for who they are.
And we all have had a relationship with someone who didn’t accept themselves or didn’t believe the world would. Having to tell them that they are fine as they are several times every day and a big breakdown every other week.
Or is it the desire to lie to fish outside of their perceived “league”?
Or the naivete to believe “They may not want me, but I can change their mind once they meet me.”
With all these logic to justify lying, “making ‘a liar’ the first impression” didn’t come up?
